In addition to 0.5% salicylic acid, we have incorporated a gentle surfactant (surface active agent) to gently help lift dirt and grime from your face as well as 1% quartz crystal exfoliants. The addition of the quartz crystals helps to exfoliate your skin while reducing the risk of sensitivity to the salicylic acid.
A small amount is enough to clean your and pores and you don't even need to use it daily. Three to Four times a week will do wonders for your skin.
Salicylic acid (a beta hydroxy acid or BHA) is like having a security guard for your skin. It clears out pores and reduces the forming of blackheads and pimples. With regular use you can greatly improve your skin tone and reduce acne.
The purpose of a cleanser is to lift dirt and oil particles from your skin which is then rinsed away with water. We use the gentlest of surface actives (known as surfactants).
