The secret of serums

Serums offer a way to deliver high quality actives to the deeper layers of the skin.  One may think that an oily serum would be heavy on the skin, but in contrast it is most often not. Providing that the ingredients used are of a high quality and are fast absorbing, you will notice that your skin readily accepts oil.

Serums can help balance your skin’s PH and help protect your skin from harsh elements.  Our serum is particularly good with reducing fine lines & wrinkles and smoothing out skin texture.

SERUMDESCRIPTION
VITAMIN CVitamin C serums can be used at the same time as retinoids, however, make sure you apply your Vitamin C serum first, then make sure it dries properly before adding your retinol serum.
RETINOIDS (Retinol or Vitamin A)Retinol (from Retinoids) form part of the Vitamin A family.
Retinol stimulates collagen production and cell renewal improving skin texture and evens tones.  It targets fine lines and wrinkles.
Must be applied to a dry skin. If you apply your retinol in the morning, please use a sunscreen SPF 30 or higher as it is phototoxic (Makes your skin sensitive to light and cause damage)
SALICYLIC ACIDThis treats skin conditions by softening and loosening dry, scaly, or thickened skin.  It reduces swelling and redness and clears pores.  It’s very good for reducing acne, pimples, white and blackheads.
It penetrates the deeper layers of your skin to dissolve keratin.
HYALURONIC ACIDHyaluronic Acid can hold up to 1000 times its weight in water.
Hyaluronic Acid helps your skin to stretch and has also been shown to reduce scarring, reduce wrinkles and help wounds hear faster. It is a powerful moisturiser (plumps the outer layers of skin) and humectant (used to prevent the loss of moisture).
AHA (Alpha Hydroxy Acids)AHA's like Lactic and Glycolic acids are Water-soluble and excellent at exfoliating your skin. It works by loosening old and dead skin to reveal fresh and newer skin on the surface.
BHA (Beta Hydroxy Acids)BHA's like Salicylic acid are Oil-soluble, also acts to exfoliate the skin.  Generally, oil-soluble ingredients can better penetrate through the lipid (fat) layers between the skin cells, therefore, can penetrate the skin at a deeper level than water-soluble ingredients.  It is this characteristic that allows BHA's to penetrate into pores to unclog them.
